Kendriya Vidyalaya Andal under the ministry of HRD was established in the year 1987 to cater the educational needs of the wards of Railway employees of Andal & Asansol railway Division

1. By providing common pattern of education.
2. To prove excellence and self the pace in the field of school education.
3. To initiate and promote experimentation & innovations in education in collaborative with NCERT & CBSE.
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and to create a sense of "Indianness" among the children.
