Introduction
The community lunch program was successfully organized at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Andal on 13th July 2026 under the guidance and supervision of Principal Mr. A. K. Jha. The purpose of this event was to instill the spirit of ‘One India, Best India’ among students, familiarize them with the culture, food, and traditions of different states, and promote mutual cooperation, brotherhood, and social harmony.
Theme (according to class)
Class 1: Bihari Cuisine and Culture
Class 2: Punjabi Cuisine and Culture
Class 3: Gujarati Cuisine and Culture
Class 4: Rajasthani Cuisine and Culture
Class 5: South Indian Cuisine and Culture
Students brought traditional dishes according to the assigned theme and also shared information about the culture and special features of the respective states.
Importance of Community Meals

• It develops respect for the culture, language, and cuisine of different states.
• It cultivates the qualities of sharing, cooperation, and discipline.

Conclusion
The community meal program was very successful and inspiring. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the cultures and cuisines of different states. This program reinforced the spirit of ‘One India, Great India,’ national unity, cultural diversity, and social harmony among students. The program aligns with the PM Shri Yojana and the New Education Policy (NEP 2020).
